Resetter — это приложение для python и pyqt, разработанное для упрощения сброса настроек вашей системы Linux на основе Debian (Ubuntu или LinuxMint) на настройки по умолчанию, при этом последние обновленные пакеты сохраняются вместе с вашими локальными файлами. Это в значительной степени избавляет от необходимости переустанавливать OS.
Чтобы использовать Resetter, вы можете либо разрешить приложению автоматически обнаруживать и удалять установленные приложения (автоматический сброс), либо деинсталлировать только выбранные вами элементы приложения (пользовательский сброс). Процесс довольно прост.
Две основные функции Resetter включают либо автоматическое восстановление , либо пользовательское восстановление (которое позволяет вам выбрать то, что вы хотите удалить).

Имейте в виду, Resetter доступен только для 64-битных систем и находится в стадии бета-тестирования, он поддерживает только:

Resetter еще не добавлен в PPA, но его пакет .deb доступен для загрузки. Вы можете использовать Центр программного обеспечения или альтернативу, например gdebi , для установки пакетов .deb .

How to reset Linux Mint 19 Tara to deafult settings and delete all files
I have linux mint for some time and my bootable usb has broken down and I can not reinstall the linux mint, installed cinammon and xfce4 desktop when I deleted the 2 desktop games and programs they will not work on a normal mate Desktop (sorry for my bad english im from serbia) (if there is a solution to reset the system and delete all files without usb stick)
I tried a program called resetter but it says does not support linux mint 19.
Is it possible to install linux mint 18 without usb stic (i have laptop asus vivobook max x541nc with uefy gpt bios)

You talk about Linux Mint19 and you want to revert to Linux Mint18?
You can reset the desktop by means of this command

«Timeshift» is installed as standard on any LM19 install. This program «Timeshift» in LM19 can be used to fall back on an earlier configuration that worked well. (Left click on «Menu», immediately start typing «Timeshift»). You must have made an earlier snapshot though. If you havent activated Timeshift during installation of LM19 however, you wont have any earlier well working configurations to fall back upon.
You can install LinuxMInt with a DVD ISO as well, but I guess that your asus vivobook hasnt got a dvd player unfortunately.
Why not buy a new usb stick, and make a new LM19 or LM18 ISO, for your new usb stick. Some usb sticks are broken and cant be mended anymore. I have had happen that to me as well, with some cheaper usb sticks.

how to make bootable usb from linux mint 19 tara to support uefy gpt bios?

what do you mean your usb bootable has broken down? nothing happens when you try to boot from it or is the usb flash drive not detected?

«. is it possible to install linux mint 18 without usb stick. » Yes it is. I do this all the time trying out newly released Live Session distributions. There’s no copy-and-paste method here, just a useful sequence of tricks.
Trick A) With a working Linux OS you can install the package grml-rescueboot and start a Live Session ISO file stored in /boot/grml/
Mint won’t let you install to the drive that holds the Live Session. This trick is for trying out an ISO without automatic persistence.
Trick B) With at least 3GiB RAM you can edit the Live Session’s boot arguments and add toram
That frees up the boot drive for partitioning and installation, but you only get the one chance to get it right. A working USB is your only hope if something goes wrong.
Trick C) Linux and Busybox both run in RAM. From there you can.
o Write an ISO to the root of the hard drive.
o Manually boot it ‘toram’
o Make a partition /dev/sda4 formatted with an ext4 file system and labelled casper-rw
o Manually boot it ‘toram persistent’
I like this trick, a lot. The base OS can read+write RAM at GiB-per-second (!) and your data files are in the casper-rw partition, not mixed in with the OS.
