Finally version 1.3 is available for download and from Mac App Store and Microsoft Store.

— It should work better in countries that are blocking Telegram.
— It should be able to autoupdate better.
— It supports saving several proxies in Connection Settings, including MTProto proxy support.
— Also you can use Socks5 proxies for calls.
— And finally you can use formatting (select text and Ctrl/Cmd + B/I for Bold/Italic, Ctrl/Cmd + K for a link with custom text, Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + M for monospace font).

If in Settings when you try to update from 1.2.17 you see «Latest version is installed.» — this means that my autoupdate site is unavailable 🙁 Please install the version 1.3 from https://desktop.telegram.org or (if this link isn’t opening for you) from GitHub releases page:

After that it should autoupdate just fine.

In case you can’t update Telegram Desktop because Telegram is blocked in your country, here are the files for the new version 1.3.7.

This version is optimized for censorship circumvention and can update itself automatically.

Telegram для Debian 11 32 bit

Сегодня, просто используя приложение версии 2.6.1 как обычно, я получил такое сообщение «Please update your app …», в общем говоря обновляйтесь или не будет работать. Посмотрел в репозитории — это самое свежее, попробовал найти через snap — ничего не выдает по запросу telegram-desktop, скорее всего дело в битности системы? Смотрел на гитхабе телеги — там тоже нет 32 битной версии. Как быть?

Не, на 64 битном дебе тоже самое. Просто скачай приложение с официального сайта.

На нетбуке это очень неприятное деяние, браузер заставляет проц в 100 биться

С Telegram уже давно ни каких тяжб не имеет.

Вообще плевать. Люди давно пользуются телеграмом не для «анонимности в международной сети интернет».

Ну, работать оно будет, но вот залогиниться в аккаунт уже не даёт, что дико странно, учитывая, что на экспи всё ещё можно пользоваться куда более старой версией без подобных проблем.

Сообщение появляется раз в 5-10 минут и это очень надоедливо

Официально поддержка 32 бита прекращена с версии 2.4. Остались telegram-cki и telegram-pidgin.

2.6.1 откуда-то ведь взялась в офф репах дебиан)

Собери сам свежую версию из исходников, чо как не мужик. Или попробуй подтянуть из тестинга.

Собрали сами. А вообще, возьми из бекпортов.

А через flatpak пробовал? Для 32 бит успех не гарантирую, но шанс есть.

Добавить backports в /etc/apt/sources.list. ЕМНИП, там оно уже есть, только закомментировано.

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free 

в /etc/apt/sources.list, сделать apt update (или apt-get update или aptitude update), а дальше

$ sudo apt -t=bullseye-backports install telegram-desktop

Я сейчас не смотрел, какая политика в данный релиз, но раньше приоритет у бекпортов был специально ниже, чем у bullseye. Поэтому он без специального пинка не обновлял версию. То есть без явного указания, что ты знаешь, что делаешь. Я на всякий случай указал.

by default Debian backports repositories have a lower priority than stable (100). They won’t be installed or upgraded unless explicitly configured to (or the package only exists in backports).

Перестать пользоваться этой омерзительной поделкой с регистрацией по номеру телефона (=по паспорту) и закрытыми исходниками серверной части.

Настоятельно рекомендую прекратить перекладывать с больной головы на здоровую.
