Touchpad indicator on Mint 18.3
Post by Thrakius » Mon Jan 01, 2018 9:32 pm
I’ve looked around in the forums, unless i missed it, i can’t find anything on this. Touchpad indicator doesn’t work for me under 18.3. I’ve tried installing from different sources but it seems to either crash on startup or doesn’t start at all, all i get is the «thinking icon» and then nothing. I’ve searched on google too but nothing about 18.3. Has anyone else had any problems with it or maybe there’s an alternative i don’t know about. Any help would be appreciated. I’m kinda new to linux also but i’ve installed it before on 18.2 and it worked flawlessly.

An indicator to show the status of the touchpad, and to enable and disable the touchpad when a mouse is plugged or unplugged. The bug has been reported. I was wondering at the time if anyone else had the same bug.

same issue for me..touchpad indicator on Mint 18.3 (kernel 4.13.0-32), simply does not start after installation..I tried to install it both adding ppa (ataerao) + apt update + apt install touchpad-indicator, both through the software manager..
No error messages during packages download or installation, but when launched it does not start at all.

Xfce.
