Установка samsung ml 1210 linux

Как подружить принтер Samsung ML 1210 + роутер F@st + Ubuntu 12.04

Роутер имеет USB вход и содержит принт сервер. Так вот, пытаюсь настроить печать через принт сервер, перепробовал все протоколы, настраивал CUPS. Пишет все время то принтер не подключен, то занят. Не печатает ни в какую. К сети подключен компюьтер с Windows, так он без проблем печатает по протоколу http://. А ubuntu никак. При установке предлагается стандартный драйвер Samsung, может с ним что не так? Кто сталкивался, помогите. Третий день бьюсь.

Советуют сначала выяснить, по какому протоколу публикует принтер в сеть роутер. Как это выяснить? Чтобы точно настраивать на нужный протокол, а то в сети куча инструкций, везде предлагают разные протоколы (Протокол интернет-печати (ipps), Windows Printer via SAMBA, Хост или принтер LPD/LPR, Протокол интернет-печати (http), Протокол интернет-печати (https), Протокол интернет-печати (ipp14), AppSocket/HP JetDirect, Протокол интернет-печати (ipp)). Правда я перепробовал все, но все же хочется быть уверенным.

Проблема так и не решена. Подскажите, может какие логи посмотреть?

Для установки драйвера откройте окно x-терминала и выполните
следующие шаги:

1. Смонтируйте дисковод

Инструкции по установке принтера через USB в ОС Linux

Принтер SAMSUNG ML-1210 + CUPS

Для начала пишут что вроде ‘work perfectly’. Но например когда я пытаюсь настроить его через IPP, то там ваще нету ни одного SAMSUNG’а. Как так? Никак не могу понять, надо драйвер качать то или нет? Если да, то вот этот?

И тогда он появится в меню в cups?

Какое еще "меню"? Самсунг ML-1210 прекрасно работает под любой системой печати. gs только нужен правильный, с поддержкой gdi.
