Hi, just wanted to report on how I fixed the black screen (with audio) problem when running WC3 Reforged on Linux in Lutris, using your script:
Lutris: install Warcraft III Reforged (Battle.net comes with it) configure settings->Runner options->Wine version->lutris-GE-Proton7-35-x86_64 (unsure if required) Terminal: WINEPREFIX=/home//Games/warcraft-iii-reforged winetricks //Runs winetricks ON your SPECIFIC Warcraft III Reforged WINE PREFIX! Very important you use the right prefix! select the default prefix, which will now be the right one from this terminal open winecfg from the options set the Windows Version to Windows 7 (unsure if required) add "C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\_retail_\x86_64\BlizzardBrowser" to Applications select BlizzardBrowser in Applications then click Libraries in Libraries, add d3d11 and dxgi to the Existing overrides section (unsure if required) //This is probably what actually fixes the problem. Lutris: launch "Warcraft III Reforged" (Battle.net) Battle.net: in the settings, set it to windowed mode using "-windowedmode windowed" in the options for the game (unsure if required) in the settings, set it to close when the game is launched (unsure if required) finally, launch actual Warcraft III Reforged Also, the two paths you're gonna want to know are: /home//Games/warcraft-iii-reforged/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Warcraft III /home//Games/warcraft-iii-reforged/drive_c/users//Documents/Warcraft III/Maps
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
Warcraft III: Reforged
— Before to install this script, you have to install «Battle.net — Standard» script installer
— You have battle.net installed and want an icon to launch directly «Warcraft III:Reforged» from Lutris interface, this script is for you
Installs Battle.net + W3Champions in a virtual desktop.Once inside of the virtual desktop, double click the W3Champions icon to start it up.NOTE: The Play button in the W3Champions launcher doesn’t work. Launch Warcraft III: Reforged from the BNet client after starting the W3Champions launcher.
**CONFIGURE AND INSTALL THE DEPENDENCIES FIRST**

If the game is laggy you can switch between different windowmodes from the command line. This script defaults to fullscreen.
-windowmode fullscreen
-windowmode windowed

Warcraft 3 reforged linux
A subreddit for discussions and news about gaming on the GNU/Linux family of operating systems (including the Steam Deck).
So I’ve been trying to install Warcraft III (not reforged) from Lutris and have been running into an issue.
I get the error: wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135
I tried doing some searching and came across this thread (although I’m using Mint not Manjaro)
I tried using the custom prefix, no idea if I did it correctly but I put it all in a text editor and then on Lutris under Configure Wine put it under one of the ‘Custom Wine executable’
Still can’t install and get the same error message. Anyway under the Lutris install page it says » When Prompted by the installer, please set the install directory to ‘Program Files’, NOT ‘Program Files (x86)’ «
Now this is where I’m guessing the main issue is. I don’t really know where to look for this on Linux and am pretty confused with the whole «there’s not C: drive on Linux everything is a partition» so how would I put the directory to Program Files? Maybe that’s the issue?
Anyway, would appreciate any help with this. I’m trying to reinstall The Frozen Throne, I have the keys on my Blizzard Acc. Idk if Reforged is any easier, but I didn’t want to repay for the same game only for it to take up like 10x the space and be using old graphics anyway, but if it’s the only (easy) way to get to play Warcraft 3 again I might take that avenue, not sure if it’s any easier.
The error comes up at different times but sometimes it’s when it’s trying to update Battle.net
