Wemos wifi bluetooth battery esp32 pinout
You need set WIFI Tx Power to 8.5dBm to use WIFI.
Use WiFi.setTxPower(WIFI_POWER_8_5dBm) after WiFi.begin() or WiFi.softAP()
WiFi.begin(ssid, password); WiFi.setTxPower(WIFI_POWER_8_5dBm);
WiFi.softAP(ssid, password); WiFi.setTxPower(WIFI_POWER_8_5dBm);
#include const char* ssid = «yourssid»; const char* password = «yourpasswd»; void setup() < Serial.begin(115200); delay(1000); Serial.println("Connecting. "); WiFi.mode(WIFI_STA); WiFi.disconnect(); WiFi.begin(ssid, password); WiFi.setTxPower(WIFI_POWER_8_5dBm); while (WiFi.status() != WL_CONNECTED)< Serial.print("."); delay(500); >Serial.println(«Connected»); Serial.print(«IP address: «); Serial.println(WiFi.localIP()); > void loop()

Does someone knows the board I need to select in Arduino IDE to upload my program into this? (from the ESP32 board list)
Hi, Is there any way to monitor build in 18650 battery voltage?
I am looking for schematics of this board. I don’t understand how the battery supply is supposed to work. The 18650 can deliver 3.7V under load. The AMS1117 has a dropout voltage of 1.1V, so in order to keep the ESP32 running at 3.3V it would need at least 4.4V on the battery which is more than it has. Even at the minimum voltage for the ESP32 of 2.55V, it would still need 3.65V from the battery which means the voltage regulator would cease to work very quickly while the battery still has lots of charge remaining? I don’t see any DC-DC booster or anything which would explain the riddle? Does anyone know?
I am not sure if this is helpful as it’s not a very technical answer, but I have purchased and used a few of these boards (with skepticism) and the battery (even at a theoretical 3.7 though I think the 18650 charges to 4.2v or something) lasts quite a while. I have build a few different projects from them — one drove some color-changing LEDs for a while (I did not run it until the battery ran out, so I can’t say how long it lasted) but another was a counting device that ran a back-lit LCD and an optical encoder for several hours at a time (at least 3 hours at a time) without running out of battery power.
As part of that project, I actually wanted to add a battery meter — I hoped that maybe there was some on-board circuitry I could use (voltage divider) and attach to an analog pin, but I don’t know of any (anyone know if it’s there, perhaps? I did not want to have to add a prototyping board to my project just to monitor the battery. (I can’t monitor it post-voltage regulator as that will *always* be 3.3v until it isn’t :-))
