• Plug it to the closest Power outlet and within the range of your standard router.
• Reposition your antennas in a way that can maintain maximum Wi-Fi coverage.
• Switch “ON” the WiFi repeater.
• Please wait few seconds to Power indicator LED lights solid green.
• Switch the Mode sliding switch towards Repeater to use your WL-WN578R2 as Extender.
• Press and hold the WPS button for few seconds on your Wav-link repeater.
• Check whether the WPS indicator flashes LED.
• Quickly press the WPS button on your working router.
• WPS light will flash for a few seconds. It may take a few minutes before the light turns solid that confirms the successful connection.
• Ext will reboot automatically after connection.
• Wavlink Ext s2 n300 automatically switches to your router’s SSID_EXT.
• You can easily connect to it now using your standard router’s password.

WAV-LINK WN578R2 S2 N300 Wireless Setup via Phone/Tablet

• Connect your Extender to the nearest Electrical outlet and within the range of your standard router.
• Hold up your antennas for maximum coverage.
• Toggle the sliding switch of “modes” towards “Repeater”.
• Open settings from your device and connect to “WAVLINK-N” in WI-Fi settings on your device.
• First-time users can connect without any password.
• Open any web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
• Enter URL 192.168.10.1 or ap.setup in the URL field of a web browser.
• Enter your default user credentials as “admin” and Enter login.
• On the next webpage, select “repeater”.
• In this window, You will see the AERIAL S2-N300 Wi-FI network.
• Please select the SSID of your target router from the list.
• In the list, you can see three rows on it. The top one has the current SSID of the AERIAL S2-N300, the Last row has the extended SSID of the AERIAL S2-N300, and the middle one is for the wifi password.
• Select the WiFi password of your target router and make sure that it is the same as your WiFi password before you click on connect.
• Your Wavlink Extender will be connected to your standard router.

Setup via Ethernet port on Computer/Laptop

1. Connect your Extender to the nearer electrical outlet and within the range of your router.
2. Toggle the sliding switch of “modes” towards “Repeater”.
3. Connect your Ethernet Wired connection between computer and WN578R2 repeater
4. Turn ON your computer or laptop’s
5. Open any web browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
6. Enter either URL 192.168.10.1 or ap.setup in the web browser.
7. Please enter your default username and password as “admin” and Enter login.
8. In the next page, select mode option “repeater”.
9. In this window, You will see the AERIAL S2-N300 Wi-FI network.
10. Select the SSID of your target router from the list, and enter its password.
11. Wait about 2 minutes until the WLAN indicator on the Wavlink AERIAL S2-N300 will go from flashing to staying on.

Wavlink Aerial Extender setup as Access point Mode

Wavlink Aerial Extender can be used as Extender, Access Point and Router. We can go through the Access Point setup now.

1. Plug your Wavlink WL-WN578R2 to the nearer electrical outlet and within the range of your router.
2. Toggle the sliding switch “Access Point/Repeater/Router” towards Access Point.
3. Insert your Network cable into the “LAN” port on ext to your router’s LAN port.
4. Note: You can locate it on the lower side of the Wavlink Aerial repeater.
5. Connect “WAVLINK-N” SSID with no password required the first time.
6. Open any web browser.
7. Enter URL 192.168.10.1 or ap.setup.
8. Type default user credentials (“admin”).
9. Select “Access Point” from the next window.

11. After a few seconds, It will create a new Wireless WI-FI Network.
12. Once the WLAN LED indicator switches to stay on. Your setup is complete.

Wavlink WL-WN578R2 AERIAL S2–N300 setup as Router

• Open your Wavlink Aerial Extender and Plug your Wavlink Extender to the nearest electrical outlet.
• Reposition your external Wi-FI Antennas.
• Turn “ON” Wavlink aerial extender and wait until POWER LED lights solid green.
• Now insert your ADSL Modem onto your “WAN” port. (It can be located on the lower right corner).
• Disconnect all wired internet connection before proceeding.
• Turn ON your device WI-FI Network.
• Now connect to the AERIAL S2-N300’s network “WAVLINK-N”.
• No password required for the first-time login.
• Now open any web browser.
• Enter URL 192.168.10.1 or ap.setup on your web browser.
• Enter the default password “admin” and click the “Login”.
• If you’re assigned an automatically configured IP address by a DHCP server, then choose Dynamic IP after that customize your Wi-Fi SSID and password, and select “Apply”.
• Or If you’re provided information like “subnet mask”, “IP address”, “Default Gateway”, then please select Static IP after that customize your Wi-Fi SSID and password, and select “Apply”.
• If you’re only provided with an account name and a password by your ISP, please choose PPPoE after that customize your Wi-Fi SSID and password, and select “Apply”.
