Is it possible to upgrade the slow Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter?
I use a Virgin Media connection, 200MB, HUB 3(the latest generation of router), which support WiFi 5 (802.11ac).
So basically my wifi card is not able to access to the speed provided by virgin media.
If an upgrade is possible, which would be the best option?
Also, given the coronavirus situation, I would like to buy the part online and upgrade myself, but I have never done such a thing and It would be great to get some step by step instruction, as I have no idea. Is a driver needed? where and how to get it?
проблемы с wi-fi
ноутбук HP Pavilion g series. Не знаю как подключить вайфай. Вроде как в нем встроен адаптер и компьютер его видит вот так Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter. Порыскали в интернете вроде должна быть кнопка для включения его но таких на ноутбуке нет. и заместо F12 включается блютус.
попробывали обновить драйверы через свойства адаптера, но выходит строка что виндовс не нуждается в обновлении этого драйвера. в трее нет значка антены вайвая. подскажите как его вообще можно подключить. Виндовс 7. По началу хотелось сделать через ноутбук точку доступа и раздавать интернет телефоном и планшетом, но оказалось что он вообще даже не в силах запустится этот вайфай. Спасибо!
Попробуйте следующее действие:
1. Удостоверьтесь в диспетчере устройств что адаптер wifi включен (на нем нет красного крестика)
2.Пуск — в поле поиск написать «services.msc» — Нажать Enter.
3. Найти службу » Служба автонастройки WLAN» и проверить её состояние. (Должно быть — «работает»)
4. Нажать кнопку F12 (учтите, что вполне возможна работа этой кнопки как переключателя)

если да то просто жмакаем в трее по значку сети и выбираем сеть к которой конектимся, фафля и так уже включена
Надо нажать не на функциональную клавишу, а на «картинку антенны» над клавиатурой. Она сенсорная. Сразу загорится синим и включится адаптер.
Здравствуйте. Клавиша F12 включает все беспроводные сети — и Wi-Fi и BlueTooth. Если по какой-то причине Wi-Fi не включается попробуйте следующее:
Откройте «Панель управления», далее «Сеть и Интернет», «Центр управления сетями. «, слева «Изменение параметров адаптера» и убедитесь, что адаптер включен.
