WiFi Camera — Remote iPhones Ratings and Reviews

This app works great for what I need it for — remote viewing and picture taking between an iPhone and iPad. One problem I have is that every time I take a picture and review it afterwards, I lose the connection between both devices. So I then have to go back over to the other device and reconnect. if there was a way I could snap a photo, review it, then go right back to viewing the remote device, I’d gladly pay for this app. Maybe something like the ability to set up trusted devices that auto-accept connections from each other?

Amazing work!

This app is really helpful when I need to paste KT tapes on my back single-handedly. Hats off to the dev who keeps improving it over the years.

Garbage pure ugly garbage

I actually bought this app based on an Apple review online, suggested by a so called “Genius”.

This app is nothing more than me Alexa “drop in “call. It looks exactly the same. You cannot control one device or the other. You can only see what is going on.

Had I want to use the Alexa drop in call, or just used iChat. it would be the same thing.

It’s not a remote! Not at all..

I’m asking for my money back from Apple. You don’t deserve my money. You should be taken off the store. Total rip off.

Doesn’t work to connect to a Canon camera

I purchased this app hoping to be able to connect my iPad to my wireless Canon camera. App connects great to iPad and iPhone, but not to my camera. After rereading the reviews and description I should have realized it was compatible. Please make descriptions clearer.

Well worth the money

Couldn’t get it to connect at first because I thought the nearby device detected would appear below the words «searching for device». Then realized that the detected devices were listed at the top of the screen. After tapping the device at the top of the screen connection was immediate between my two iphones. Each iphone sees the other iphone’s camera along with a small rectangle of it own camera. Instructions for using the app could be included with the app but is not. Would have precluded my confusion concerning the detected device issue. Over all quality is very good. Highly recommended.

Potential but really rough

I’m using an iPad Air 2 to connect to an iPhone 5s.
Perhaps the issues are with the 8.1 iOS but it needs some work.
Pros — very easy install, I tested connecting via WiFi and bluetooth — in both cases the devices found each other. Bluetooth is a nice touch for when WiFi is not around.

Switching between front & rear cameras worked.
Now, the Cons —

Repeatedly, the app dropped the connection, forcing me to reconnect, which means going back and forth to «accept». This was right after taking a picture, and going back to look at a photo (which is necessary for reasons described below) dropped the connection.

The first picture I took worked, looked fine. However, if the app did not drop the connection then each subsequent picture was just a black square. I’ve never seen anything like that. Picture 1, fine, picture 2, just a «lump of coal».
There are no zoom controls or anything like camera or flash controls.

It’s an interesting concept, and could be useful for many projects, but the dropping & «lump of coal» issues make this pretty close to useless.

I hope the developer puts some work in this, as this could be a nice utility.

Find a wishing well instead !

Seriously, find a wishing well and at least get a wish for your dollar. I’m aware that a dollar doesn’t buy much today but this app should be taken down. The lag between my iPad and iPhone is horrible as in someone moves in the picture and it’s a full count of 5 before you see them move on receiving device. The quality of video is grainy and very blurry. It stores the pictures in its app so it’s a two step process to get them somewhere to prepare to share. Oh and you better be quick, because with wifi and Bluetooth on your battery is going to die fast. And it takes both wifi and Bluetooth to operate this app! No wifi, no app. Trust me, a patch cord between the two devices would be awesome to replace this app. Sincerely, unsatisfied.

Wifi remote cam

I was able to set up my iPhone 4S as a remote camera on my iPad which is very cool, but I would be willing to pay for a version that allows me to start videotaping and photographing instantly (I don’t have to record on the iPad just on. the iPhone.) I have a pesky crime problem in front of my office, and it would be great to have proof for the police without having to stand in the window recording them. Hope this program develops.

WiFi Camera

Awesome. Used Camera A and Camera B in the past but not any more. This is Great. Will be placing the iPhone 5 down behind a wall in a tight place using a small mirror and Strong Light. Hope to discover where I have a leak in my Roof while watching on my Mini. So far a Roofer and a Plummer could not tell where the Leak originates. We did rule out a leaking pipe. If we can locate where the water is originating when it rains then I can repair it without resorting to replacing the Entire Roof or totally destroying an entire bathroom to find the source.

iPad shows live image from iPhone instead of iPad live image that I want to capture

I’m confused. I want to take a picture with what I should be seeing on my iPad if I were using the default iOS camera app with the camera turned to be facing myself.. However, using the WiFi Camera app, my iPad is showing whatever the live image that my phone sees instead.

Actually, the small, inset picture IS showing the live image being captured by my iPad, but that inset live image is so small it’s impossible to see if what you’re taking a picture of.

Am I suppoed to be using the iPad default iOS camera to get the live image from my iPad and then use the Wifi Camera app as the remote to take the picture? I tried that but as soon as you go to Home or the default iOS camera app on the iPad, the Wifi Camera app disconnects.

The app has fairly decent reviews, so I feel like I’m just missing some simple step.

WiFi Camera — Remote iPhones 4+

I installed it on my iPad and iPhone. Enabled hotspot on my iPhone. My iPad joined my iPhone hotspot. I opened the app on both devices. My iPad saw the iPhone in the app, I tapped to connect. Allowed the app to access the camera and then it all works.

My iPad sees what the phone’s camera is pointing at and I can press the shutter button on the iPad to take a photo using the iPhone’s camera.

I was hoping the video resolution would be sharper but for taking photos it’s good enough.

Works well and without fuss.

This was used on an iPad Pro 10.5” and iPhone 11 Pro both on iOS 13.

Rubbish

•Hard to use
•Photos are not saved in order making them hard to find.
•Streaming quality is worse than an early 2000 eBay action cam.
•Saved photo quality is not much better.

This app was used between 2 iPhones.
Ive since downloaded an app that has the same functions that dose the job 10x better. and it was free.
