Что такое Wi-Fi адаптер?

Одной из новинок интернет-технологий стал адаптер LG AN-WF100. Это устройство внешне похоже на флэшку. Но в маленькой коробочке располагается Wi-Fi адаптер для телевизора LG. Это модуль Вай-Фай. Благодаря данному устройству ваш дом обретет телевизор с выходом во всемирную паутину, а также к нему можно будет подключить и периферические устройства:

• Ваш смартфон, при инсталляции в него специальной проги «LG Romotex», может стать стандартным дистанционным управлением (ДУ).

Как получить беспроводной ТВ?

Сейчас маркировка WI-Fi Ready имеется на многих популярных моделях телевизора LG, но WiFi адаптер при этом в комплект не входит. Поэтому его надо будет приобретать и подключать отдельно.

1. Приобретите адаптер LG AN-WF
2. Подключите Wi-Fi к своему телевизору:

• Вставить адаптер в USB разъем.

• Войти в меню ТВ LG.
• При наличии кнопки WPS на роутере нажать ее и удерживать 15 секунд, настройка пройдет автоматически. Если ее нет, произведите настройку из списка точек доступа. Для этого необходимо зайти в список доступных беспроводных сетей и активировать кнопку WPS путем выбора ее из меню.

Аналогом LG AN-WF100 является адаптер LG AN-WF500. Такое устройство подключается через USB-кабель и обладает теми же возможностями, что и ранее описанная модель.

Some old LG smart TV models did not have integrated Wi-Fi, instead requiring the AN-WF100 USB Wi-Fi adapter (pictured above). Since most of the “smart” features on those TVs don’t work anymore, re-using the Wi-Fi adapter on a PC may seem like a good idea. The adapter is based on a standard Broadcom chipset, and can be used on a Windows PC with the steps below:

1. Download the Netgear WNDA3100v2 driver.
2. Install the driver normally. A Netgear Genie screen will ask you to plug in the adapter; close it by right-clicking its taskbar button and clicking Close.
3. Optionally disable the “WNDA3100v2.exe” startup entry using Task Manager (on Windows 10 and newer), msconfig or AutoRuns to stop Netgear Genie from bothering you on every startup.
4. Connect the LG adapter to your PC. It will be detected as an unknown “Remote Download Wireless Adapter” device.
5. Open Device Manager, right-click the unknown “Remote Download Wireless Adapter” device, select “Update Driver…”, choose to browse for driver software, then to pick from a list of device drivers.
6. Select the “Network adapters” category, wait for it to load, scroll down to “Netgear” and select “Netgear WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter”.
7. Ignore the warning about driver compatibility.

After following these steps, Wi-Fi should be working. If it doesn’t, you have the wrong adapter (this guide is for the AN-WF100 only), or you’ve done something wrong. Please note that the LG adapter is not dual-band as the Netgear driver name suggests; it supports 2.4 GHz networks only.

I should update this post, as I have since discovered a better method – you can point Device Manager to the .inf file and tell it to show incompatible hardware. Also, a newer Netgear driver enables the hosted network capability on Windows 7 and higher. Are you sure you have the same model as I do?

Yes:-) Just plugged it out of my tv since the older models can no longer use apps made by google.
It is an wf100. Could you link the newer driver?

[ Windows 10 – RESOLVED] I tried installing this generic drivers: http://wikidevi.com/files/Drivers/Broadcom/bcm4323x_5.100.68.46_vista_win7.zip With the “unsigned” method and works fine without editing .inf files

Hi, i did everything you said and it worked fine.
However, everytime i turn the PC on the Netgear Genie runs automatically at start and keeps trying to enable Push n Connect. Turns out that i have to turnoff the genie everytime i turn my PC on.
I dont want to use that Genie, how do i bypass it?

How can I get instructions step by step on how to use my LG wireless wifi adaptor as a repeater or hotspot? I tried over 20 times to do this per your instructions and I cant find or see the .inf file or anything about remote download. Please help if you can. I cant find any thing on the web about this and if I do it doesnt say how. Im using an HP pavillion laptop. It can do this Ive seen it before. Thank you

No one mentioned that you have to have the LG WIFI USB Dongle plugged in, in order to see the .inf file or the remote download wireless adapter that you right click on. Once you get into Device manager, plug in your wfan-100 usb stick and it will pop up halfway down the page. I tried and tried until i stuck it in and then it showed that option. The other thing is this crappy instruction dont tell you how to connect to it, set it up or how to use it as a repeater booster anteni or just a hotspot seperate from your normal wifi. Youll have to get what you can from this then go to youtube to finish the other half of what you need unless your really good with a pc all ready.
