Драйвер Wi-Fi адаптера

Приветствую , имеется wifi адаптер Mercusys MU6H (он же AC650) ,на сайте производителя нет дров под unix системы , только windows .
Собираюсь ставить Monjaro KDE (автоматически драйвер он не находит) , поэтому в AUR нашел кем то написанный драйвер .
Вопрос в другом , у меня нет возможности подключить ПК к сети по проводу , я хочу попробовать сделать так , склонированный на телефон репозиторий скинуть по проводу на ПК , потом установить его по инструкции .
Сработает ли эта схема , или в процессе установки обязательно необходимо подключение к сети ?
