This app is awkward. Has locations worldwide, but you have to dig from global all the way to local every time you use it (select country, select state, select city). You can’t set defaults so you don’t have to drill all the way in every time. When the list comes up of spots within a city, it’s alphabetical. Would like to see it plotted on a map. Once a location is selected, you can see the location on a map, but you have to have internet connection to do that (what I’m looking for to begin with). Description says NOT compatible with iTouch, requirements says compatible with iTouch. It works on my iTouch but location is deemed from router vs. GPS. Not worth 2.99. Haven’t seen one yet that is.

If you want to find an open WiFi hotspot with your iPhone, you depend on the built-in wireless scanner (in Settings/WiFi). It has a very limited range, it will only show hotspots with a 20 feet radius or so.

With this tool, you can find hotspots in a much larger range, it will also list them if they’re a mile away, because it uses GPS. You can also
find free access points abroad, it allows you to manually browse the countries and cities. This is a real moneysaver, because you can avoid those outrageous roaming charges from AT&T. Excellent program IMO.

WifiLink: Share WiFi 4+

We are glad that you liked it. We are working continuously to improve the features and user experience 🙂 For the offline purpose, we have the QR code facility in the application, you can simply ask your mates to scan the QR from your phone’s screen and this way they can connect to your wifi without having internet connection on their phone 🙂

This seems pretty nefarious

The only reason for this app to FORCE you to provide GPS location is for logging your WiFi location + user + password. I would not recommend anyone trust this app. This is everything they need to log into your wireless network.

Before you can start using this app and share your connection, it needs to connect to your WiFi. What it share is your existing WiFi network. So if there is no WiFi to connect, there is nothing to share. For any app that connect to WiFi, It is the iOS requirement for user to enable location. We can all trust how Apple handle their security measurement. We did not in anyway have access to user credentials. Apple wouldn’t have approve this app if we did.

If you scan the QR code with Qr scanner you can read the wifi password which is not secured as mentioned in the app
It’s like you share your wifi password in Qr shape
the app idea is great I’m sure you can fix this issue.

Hi. The QR Code method is not encrypted. It is just an alternative easy way to share WiFi with family or people that you trust. They can connect to your WiFi by simply scan the QR code, without your password.
The Share Link option is the secured method, which it uses encrypted link to share your WiFi SSID and Password. It can only decode using this app, so your network and password is protected. We are developing the encrypted QR code method as well and it will be available in August.

WiFi Phone

Wi-Fi Direct это функция на Android 4.0 или более новых устройств, которые устанавливает

1) МАРШРУТИЗАТОР WIRELESS LAN

● Подключение двух телефонов через Wi-Fi к той же локальной сети маршрутизатор (точка доступа)

● Открыть WiFi Phone и нажмите [Параметры -> LAN-адрес]
Если ваш адрес локальной сети не отображается здесь, вы можете найти его, нажав на локальной сети,
вы подключены к в [Android Настройки -> WiFi -> имя LAN]
Поделитесь этот адрес с человеком, который вы хотите позвонить (по аналогии с номером телефона).
Вам потребуется другого пользователя LAN-адрес, чтобы создать контакт.

● Создать новый контакт [Опции -> Добавить контакт] и введите «Имя» и адрес локальной сети.

● Выберите контакт и нажмите вызов.

● Подключите два телефона через Wi-Fi Direct [Android Настройки -> WiFi -> Wi-Fi Direct]

так и не понял зачем нужно приложение, функционал «ниочем», все что вы бы хотели сделать с роутером вы будете делать через 192.168.8.1, потому что в приложении ничего сделать нельзя. Но оно запустилось, поэтому добавил 1 звезду ))

Ошибка с паролем

Почему не воспринимает пароль, указанный на роутере? Пишет не правильный пароль. Ну сколько можно. Столько об этом писали в отзывах и ничего не изменили! Когда доработаете? Вот как теперь зайти в приложение.

HUAWEI HiLink (Mobile WiFi‪)‬ 4+

This will be a really good app, if we are able to allocate data range to the device connected to the WiFi.. some people will do unnecessary things when you connect them to your hotspots device because it’s free data for them, but would have been really nice if you can just put them on a little shared allocated Data % on your plan when connected to the device, when the % got exhausted by them, then it stops them from browsing. I will be able to give it 5 star by then.. I hope you can consider doing this it will save a lot of people like me from having to pay for data always after I connect certain people to my device. Thanks

Great app

This app can back fire at the users in case their password was known to others since the last time I forgot to change the password someone blocked me from my own wifi and changed the password I suggest in the next update they make the block list from the device

Can’t connect to app since latest update

The title says it all. I can’t connect to this app since the developers released the latest update.

This means I cannot configure my hotspot or read SMS messages from my ISP.

Ever wonder about who I should to speak to about this? Yeah, good luck. I don’t speak Mandarin.

I’m wondering if my Hotspot is bricked in case I can’t configure it for traveling.

Update to the developer 10/15 — I’ve reset my E5885 hotspot to default several times during troubleshooting.

Is this HiLink app compatible with iOS v13?

Issue: When I open the HiLink app and click on the Connect button (while connected to the hotspot’s LAN), the app immediately displays an error “Disconnected. Can not connect to the device”

I can reach my hotspot’s webGUI via a web browser but it’s entirely in Mandarin with no English option.

The developers seem to have assumed that the HiLink app would be the sole admin method for English speaking customers without realizing that an alternative method would be required if the HiLink app fails.

Could there be an English version of the built-in GUI released soon via firmware update? Because the HiLink app fails to connect.
