internet speeds, better security and more connected devices.
Verizon Router
Offers Wi-Fi 6E, the next-gen wireless standard that’s up to 3x faster than Wi-Fi 5, with improved performance on multiple devices.

This plug-and-play router with a firewall and parental controls comes with 5G Home and LTE Home plans.
Fios Extender
Provides some of our fastest speeds, plus Self-Organizing Network technology that minimizes interference and maximizes capacity with each new device.
Do you need a mesh router system?
The main difference between mesh routers and traditional network extenders is that a mesh network has no central hub that handles all the device traffic. Each device in a mesh network can relay signals to every other device. In contrast, in a traditional router plus extender setup, an extender can only relay signals in a linear direction — to and from the router. If you have more than one extender, the extenders don’t communicate with each other, only with the main router.
Experience Whole-Home Wi-Fi.
For Fios customers, get coverage in hard-to-reach places with router rental included, plus a Wi-Fi extender rental if requested.

What does Wi-Fi stand for?
Some experts disagree, but most say that Wi-Fi stands for «wireless fidelity.» A brand consulting firm created the name as a play on the phrase «high fidelity.»
What is Wi-Fi 6?
Wi-Fi 6 is the newest generation in Wi-Fi technology. It has 12 channels, which allows more devices to use more bandwidth than the Wi-Fi 5’s four channels. Since the launch of Wi-Fi 6, a higher range of newly available spectrum has opened up, leading to Wi-Fi 6E technology with even faster performance. Wi-Fi 6 was originally designed for high-traffic locations like airports, stadiums, and offices, but is now used in home routers like the Verizon Router.
Why is my Wi-Fi not working?
For Wi-Fi issues on a Verizon internet connection, use our automated troubleshooter or watch a video on troubleshooting your Wi-Fi connection.
How can I extend my Wi-Fi range?
Probably the best way to extend the range of your home Wi-Fi signal is to get a Wi-Fi extender or a mesh router system that transmits the signal to the whole area of your home. You can also try moving your router out into the open, free of obstructions like furniture or reinforced concrete walls. Microwave ovens, cordless phones, and baby monitors use radio signals that can interfere with your Wi-Fi signal, so keep your router out of the kitchen. Even mirrors, fish tanks, and stainless steel can interfere with the signal, so experiment with different locations for the best performance.
How do I get a good Wi-Fi connection?
For a good Wi-Fi connection, start with a fast, reliable internet connection like Verizon Home Internet. Advanced router technology, like the Wi-Fi 6E the Verizon Router uses, also makes a difference. Other tips are changing your network password for better security and rebooting your router occasionally to let it receive updates. Some routers let you prioritize important devices or select open channels for certain devices in the router’s app or web portal.

What is Fios Internet?
Fios Internet is a 100% fiber-optic network that delivers some of the fastest internet speeds to millions of homes in the mid-Atlantic and New England. It uses fiber optics to transmit data at the speed of light, providing a faster internet connection and powerful bandwidth for multiple devices. Verizon is one of the only internet service providers to offer matching download and upload speeds on most of our plans, which is a major advantage when you’re video chatting, gaming and sharing large files or images.
What is LTE Home Internet?
LTE Home Internet is home broadband internet service that brings the Verizon 4G LTE network to your residence. It is available in certain areas where there are no other Verizon broadband options (Fios, 5G Home, etc.). With LTE Home Internet, you can stream video at 1080p, plus you can enjoy unlimited data with no data usage caps.
Does Verizon Home Internet participate in the Affordable Connectivity Program?

- Up to one $30/month subsidy for each eligible household
- Up to one $75/month subsidy for each eligible household on Tribal lands
