Задан недействительный url linux mint

Ребят, заранее говорю что не сильно шарю в пингвине. Решил поставить LM 19 x64, пошло как по маслу, НО при установки чего-либо выдает:

Перепробовал много зеркал, и всегда та же фигня.

Неверный url сервера

Здравствуйте. Извиняюсь за, наверное, глупый вопрос. Суть такова. Установил на пк Arch с Luks, reboot, захожу под root, захожу под пользователем, все нормально. Пытаюсь установить xorg, i3 и т.д. и на любое действие ответ один — Неверный url для сервера. Направьте, пожалуйста, в нужное русло, где копать?

В использемых зеркалах репозиториев.

Менял. Перепробовал штук 10, результат не меняется

Попробуй пингади зеркало по адресу, мб проблема с DNS.

Бред какой-то. «Временный сбой в разрешении имён» выдает Вообще ничего не сделать, ни подключение не проверяется, ни хост, ни пинг не сделать.

Как ноут (или компьютер) подключен к сети

Сетью какая программа управляет?

Вообще как ты установку выполнял — по вики или какой-то мануал из сети?

Интернет есть, только не вывести информацию. Кабельное подключение к ПК. На другом ПК, где Windows, все работает. Здесь только что купленное новое железо, будет только один Arh. Устанавливал, конечно, по вики. Вот сейчас ткнулся /etc/hosts, там почему-то нет никакой информации, попробую прописать вручную, если это поможет.

да. А ты resolv.conf настраивал? Тебе рано арч, бубунта в самый раз.

Из раздела «Настройка сети» ты задал hostname и /etc/hosts прописал. А по ссылке настройка сети читал/настраивал/устанавливал?

Разрешение имен — это DNS как раз. Как ты сеть настраивал? Что у тебя в resolv.conf?

И не должно быть, он пустой изначально.

Сеть не настроена, как минимум dhcpcd. Ну и не стоит забывать, что теперь в base даже ядро не входит, а пакеты для работы с сетью тем более.

I was able to find a web site that phpBB would accept with a valid URL

Kinda strange what phpBB would NOT accept itself as a valid URL

Trying to put my own avatar on this forum
I understand it has to be on a website
In my case it is on dropbox

FWIW, when I go to the image URL (w/o dl=0), I see more than the image; buncha dropbox stuff.

Edit: 29.7kB is awfully big for an avatar image; converting it to jpg (compression 50/irfanview) -> 3.5kB

Please edit your original post title to include [SOLVED] if/when it is solved!
Your data and OS are backed up. right?

Then point to the image in the post and right click. Then «Copy Image Location». The url for the «easy image» is download/file.php?id=30007

this is a test using that location >

OR > You could just copy the location of one of the images in Flemur‘s post and use that URL

Yes, it does seem to work for you.

So, I’ll try it here and see if I can get it to work too.

apparently, I am doing something incorrect here.

I get a place holder image and a very long address at dropbox

Yes the image was very large for here.
I gimp’d it down to 120×120 and jpg
I’ll try doing it again with a .jpg

Well now, if I use [img] I get an error
If I use [rimg] I get a placeholder with a long url.

It did however get the same result;

I’m attempting to add the lutris ppa using the following command:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lutris-team/lutris

There’s a seemingly similar issue in this thread, which as of writing is unsolved:

I’ve tried all the suggestions in that thread and got similar results, attempting to add the missing key to the key server doesn’t seem to help.

I tried using the «software sources» gui that comes with mint by going to software sources>maintenance>add missing keys, the manager freezes whenever I do this.

I also wasn’t sure why the invalid URL in my output contains «ungoogled_chromium» and I uninstalled ungoogled chromium just to make sure it wasn’t interfering somehow, which was probably very stupid and didn’t help.

I’ve also tried downloading y-ppa to try to circumvent the issue somehow but was met with the same error. Also my version of mint is freshly updated to 19.3
